PERSONAL:

Here is my about me page. I was born on June 10, 1982 in Toledo, Ohio. I live in Norman, Oklahoma not too far from campus). I have an older brother who now works for Wal Mart's corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas (he told me he is in their marketing department and NOT a greeter). He and his fiancee Melissa will marry in July in Illinois.

My parents still live in Toledo - my dad has been a college professor for almost 30 years and my mom is a merchandiser. They have four dogs: Snickers (a hyperactive German Shepard), Bar-Bar (a retired racing Greyhound), Wolfy "Dufus" (a Shepard-Akita mix with a goatee), Drake (another hyperactive German Shepard with large ears). They all range in age from 2-9 years old.

EDUCATION:

I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May 2007 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. I did not have much of a chance to become involved in activities in the Journalism College because work took up all my free time and I also had only a year and a half to finish up my degree.

I spent the previous 2 1/2 years in the OU School of Meteorology. It was a very unique and enjoyable experience but meteorology became more of a hobby than an actual career and changed majors in January 2006.

After graduating from high school in June 2001, I took a semester to decide what to do. I enrolled at Owens Community College in Toledo in January 2002. I transfered from OCC to OU in August 2003. While at OCC, I made at least 3.0 every semester (5 semesters) and 3.5 for 3 of those 5. I was not involved in any activites at OCC because I was working full time. I do owe OCC a lot because without their help, I would never have gotten to OU.

Major work / internship summary:

I am currently seeking a full-time position on-camera at a television station or network. I currently am toe play-by-play voice for the Oklahoma Metro Football League in Oklahoma City. It is a five team semi-pro league that plays on Saturdays from March - May. You can check out some of the games I have voiced here.

I worked from August - December 2007 for KSBI-TV (IND) in Oklahoma City, though I was laid off for financial reasons.

I was a one-man sports department for the station as I was both the sports reporter and photographer for the station. I also wore several other hats as I was the sideline reporter for several of their live high school football game broadcasts and even was a news reporter during my short time there. Though it was a brief job, it still gave me experience in live sports broadcasts in front of the camera.

I worked during my final two years as as student for Soonvervision. Soonervision is the OU Athletic Broadcasting Services Department. Soonervision runs the jumbotrons at all football and baskbetball games (men's and women's). We also provide live streaming video of selected volleyball, softball, and baseball games. We also tape the coaches shows from inside our studio. Our studio is also home to the visiting football team's post game press conferences. Please visit www.soonersports.com for more information.

I also performed 2 internships while in college. One was in 2006 at KOCO in the sports department and the other was in 2004 at WNWO-TV (NBC) in Toledo, Ohio in the weather department. I made a weather forecast demo tape during my weather internship. You can either view it from the demo page or you can simply click here

Besides putting in my fours years of fast food service during high school & Junior College, I worked full time for a year for a legal newspaper in Toledo.
